The Wilbraham Arms
Privacy & Cookies Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and your rights. It covers wilbrahamarms.co.uk and wilbrahamarms.com.
Who we are
This website is run by The Wilbraham Arms, 58 Welsh Row, Nantwich CW5 5EJ. We are the "controller" of the personal information described here.
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email info@wilbrahamarms.co.uk or call 01270 487092.
What we collect and why
When you contact us
We collect your name, email address and message, plus anything else you choose to tell us (for example a booking date or group size).
We use this to reply to your enquiry and, if you're booking, to arrange your table. We also email you a confirmation that we've received your message.
Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before you make a booking, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
We do not use contact form details for marketing, and we don't add you to any mailing list.
When you request a table booking
We collect your name, email address, phone number, the date, time and number of guests for your booking, and any notes you add (for example a birthday or a high chair).
We use this to check availability, confirm or follow up on your booking, and contact you about it. Please don't include health or allergy details in the notes; tell our team when you arrive instead.
Lawful basis: taking steps at your request to arrange a booking with us.
Keeping the forms secure
To stop spam, our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check that looks at technical information about your browser and device and your IP address. We also record your IP address when you send a form.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and free from abuse.
Website server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to run the site securely.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. We only share it with service providers who help us run the website, and only as much as they need:
- Apexia hosts this website and provides the email service that delivers contact and booking messages. Data is hosted in the UK.
- Cloudflare provides the Turnstile spam check on the contact form. Cloudflare may process data outside the UK, including in the United States, using legally recognised safeguards for international transfers.
- Google, only if you choose to load the map on our homepage (see Cookies below).
We may also share information if the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and booking requests, and our replies, for up to 12 months and then delete them, unless we need them for longer for an ongoing booking or legal reason.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it. You can also object to us using it where we rely on legitimate interests.
To make a request, contact us using the details above. We'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please talk to us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We keep cookies to a minimum and do not use any analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | This website | Only set when you send one of our forms, so we can show you whether it was sent. Strictly necessary. | Removed once the result has been shown, or when you close your browser |
| Turnstile security check | Cloudflare | Runs on our forms to block spam bots and may store a small amount of security data in your browser. Strictly necessary. | Only while the check runs |
| Google Maps cookies | Only set if you click Show map. Google uses them to provide the map and for its own purposes, described in Google's cookie policy. | Set by Google |
Strictly necessary cookies don't need your consent. The Google map only loads when you choose to show it, so no Google cookies are set unless you click the button. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Our fonts are stored on our own website, so your browser doesn't contact Google Fonts when you visit.
Links to other websites
Our site links to other services such as Deliveroo, Instagram and Facebook. They have their own privacy policies, which apply once you leave our site.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if we change how we use personal information. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
